Based on a late 19th-century Kachin hill-tribe weaving from the highlands north of Bhamo in northern Burma, Bhamo Highlands Check reflects the quiet mastery of upland artisans. Cotton and jute yarns interlace in a composed grid of indigo and unbleached fiber, their gentle irregularities marking the rhythm of the handloom. Woven in a landscape of rivers and ridges, these cloths carried both endurance and grace—humble textiles elevated by intention.
